Our, similarly, if you, or your friends are interested in running coaching, have them get in touch with Brendon. Side note…we will be getting pricing up for these additional services at some point today. I like the Russian dance shot…Josh is rockin it! 8)

  2. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 8:51 am

Is this a russian line dance??

  3. Scott on March 30th, 2009 8:52 am

Brendon is the man, you guys are lucky to have him. He is a frickin animal. Prediction: whatever the current 400m and 800m gym records are, they are going to fall hard.

Per the picture, looks like Liz, Bridget and Josh are in the Third Reich.

  4. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 8:53 am

I need Brendan to fix my running! I’ll be his first customer!

Looks like I missed out on some fun after FGB yesterday… Is Russian dancing part of the boot camp??

  5. Joey on March 30th, 2009 8:54 am

What about Todd? Did he not make the cut? He just looks like a dancing leprechan to me.

  6. Dan on March 30th, 2009 8:54 am

To me it looks like Brendon is giving them quite the head start in whatever the hell it is they’re doing.

    Welcome Brendon.

  7. ray on March 30th, 2009 8:56 am

Todd has some mad Russian dance skills.

Jess Russian dance and pole dance will be offered! 8)

  8. ray on March 30th, 2009 8:58 am

Hey get your Shamwows and Slam Chops quick! Vince is tearing up the hooker scene in Miami! 8)

  9. Dan on March 30th, 2009 8:59 am

ahh I heard that this morning. hooker bit his tounge off!

  10. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 8:59 am
  11. Dan on March 30th, 2009 9:00 am

    *tongue

  12. megan on March 30th, 2009 9:04 am

On the road to nashville and I heard on the radio the sham-wow guy got arrested for battery of a prositute. She bit his tongue and wouldn’t let go so he started punching her!
Just made me think of you guys!

  13. megan on March 30th, 2009 9:06 am

    Oops guess u already heard

  14. Joey on March 30th, 2009 9:07 am

Wow…that is awesome. The only part of this story that is missing is an audio recording of the pitch he made to the hooker to get her to hook up with his ass. I bet it was top notch.

  15. Maddy on March 30th, 2009 9:12 am

I’m gonna have to take my man Vince’s side on this one… I mean if a hooker was trying to bite off my tongue i’d go ShamWow on her a$$ too

  16. Dan on March 30th, 2009 9:12 am

Good Luck with the move and job and whatever else nashville throws at you!
    CFPT will miss you.

  17. Dan on March 30th, 2009 9:13 am

    She Slap Chopped his ass

  18. Mike Mc on March 30th, 2009 9:16 am

Megan – best wishes to you in Nashville. See you in Jacksonville!

  19. bridget on March 30th, 2009 9:16 am

    We’ll miss you Megan!

About the running coaching…I HIGHLY recommend it. I have bad wheels, get shin splits and overall just really don’t like running. In about an hour yesterday, Ray noticed a visible improvement in my stride and I felt great running, no pain, and noticeable improvement in my speed without really going at 100%.

We are super stoked to be working with Brendon. If you guys know of anybody interested in a bootcamp style workout…send them our way. Also, you’ll be seeing Brendon around as a CF trainer as well :D

  20. Scott R on March 30th, 2009 9:18 am

I was crushed on hearing the news of the Slap Chop guy. I spent all morning taking the posters off my walls.

  21. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 9:19 am

Why wasn’t I told to stick around yesterday??!!! This is what I need!!!!!

  22. bridget on March 30th, 2009 9:20 am

Running coaching is an additional service. Brendon is working with us for the Quals.

  23. Reagan on March 30th, 2009 9:24 am

Any idea on his rates for the running coaching? Or how it works etc?

  24. Reagan on March 30th, 2009 9:24 am

Not “how it works” like IF it works – but for example you meet with him once a week or varied depending on $$ etc.
Sorry need to be more clear.

  25. Lucinda on March 30th, 2009 9:25 am

Yay, Brendon! I want him to help me with the Pose technique. I had thought about attending a running cert, but having personal training is probably better and more economical :)

  26. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 9:26 am

No can do additional $$… broker than broke. :(

  27. megan on March 30th, 2009 9:27 am

Scott- what does that guy say about his cheese gratter? Something about a bikini?

Thanks you guys! I’ve got my own wod of moving to the third floor without an elevator!

  28. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 9:30 am

Reagan, RV, Joey, Sarah, FJ, I know you are super stoked to have access to an athlete from the Georgia Institute of Technology; It will make those burpees the Friday after Thanksgiving (or whenever Tech beats Clemson, Sarah and Scott) much easier to take…

  29. Maddy on March 30th, 2009 9:30 am

Megan – Fettuccini, linguini, martini, BIKINI!

  30. bridget on March 30th, 2009 9:33 am

for more details about the running coaching, contact brendon:

    brendon@crossfitpeachtree.com

    :D

  31. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 9:50 am

Megan, thanks for the actual story, pretty sure that TMZ is in the ranks of Facebook and Evite (seriously, what did Evite ever do to anyone?) at AT&T and would result in a huge offensive blue screen screaming BLOCKED!

  32. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 9:51 am

Jenny – and if the site weren’t blocked, the pictures definitely would be!! They had to cover the hooker’s nip with a star! 8O

  33. Brendon on March 30th, 2009 9:53 am

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome! It was good working with Bridget, Liz, Todd and Josh yesterday. Don’t let Todd fool you, dude’s got crazy moves, legs were flying everywhere, almost like the river dance. But seriously, Todd made a big improvement, it’s just something that takes a little time to break bad habits.

We’re going to be offering the running technique class for everyone soon. Thanks again for the welcome, glad to join the crew!

  34. Mike Mc on March 30th, 2009 9:55 am

Kevin and Josh – Burpees done!

  35. Brendon on March 30th, 2009 9:59 am

Oh yeah, for anyone training for Peachtree or marathons (beginner to elite) or anything else endurance, I’m also available for coaching (workouts, peaking, nutrition) in addition to running technique. We also have access to video analysis, so not only can I pick on you in person, but also on camera! Sweet!

  36. Reagan on March 30th, 2009 10:04 am

Peachtree will be my first 10K and I AM going to do the ING half next year (some of you commented on my Facebook status yesterday… I always feel like such a loser going to cheer on Wes etc at the ING! I should be running it too!!! I was not made to be a spectator :P )

  37. Dan on March 30th, 2009 10:05 am

Megan are you still going to be lurking from nashville?

  38. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 10:06 am

Bridget – what are your thoughts on dried fruit? I bought some dried mango at the market yesterday and it is DELISH! The label says “low sugar, unsulphured”…

  39. megan on March 30th, 2009 10:26 am

Dan- probably… The crossfits here don’t really use their blogs… Losers

  40. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 10:28 am

Jess, did you cheat on me and go to the market without me?!!? I see how it is…I see what our trips meant to you! :D

  41. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 10:30 am

I’m sorry Jenny, I just couldn’t help myself… Jess Batt persuaded me, it’s all her fault!! I promise it won’t happen again!!

  42. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 10:31 am

So can this new trainer help me get my bench up to 450?

  43. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 10:31 am

Actually, Jenny, it was a last minute split decision after being in the office until 6:30 last night… I would have included you if I had planned better!!

  44. FJ on March 30th, 2009 11:01 am

Can the new trainer help me do the Stanky Leg?

  45. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 11:04 am

I think Jill is our official stanky leg trainer, along with any other dance moves that come up. I just hope the ShamWow guy mailed my ShamMurph t shirt before he dialed up bite a tongue down in Miami.

  46. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 11:16 am

I forgive you Jess… who could resist the call of the Farmer’s Market! If you tell me they had a cheese sampling similar to the bakery one, though, our friendship is OVER.

  47. Whitney on March 30th, 2009 11:17 am

I just wanted to you let you guys know that I was in Clemson this past weekend and CVS definitely had a whole wall of ShamWoWs for sale. I should have bought them.

  48. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 11:38 am

Wow, Clemson has a CVS now?? Were the ShamWows bright orange??

  49. Jenn Mc on March 30th, 2009 11:41 am

Ray…. here is the link to that SNL video I was talking about on Saturday… hehehehe

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVXh4OmvCkc

  50. Whitney on March 30th, 2009 11:43 am

oh you bet they have a CVS! nahhh i think they were still yellow and blue or something.

  51. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 11:44 am

Mike, I’m sure Clemson isn’t like Ga Tech…people actually get laid there, so they need a place to by condoms. Not that you went to Tech or anything, but just throwin it out there! :D

  52. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 11:47 am

Jenny – to my dismay, they did not have a cheese sample table yesterday… but, they DID have a garlic spread table – several different kinds of delicious garlic spread for bread, crackers, etc… and a bowl of mints.

  53. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 11:48 am

Our friendship is still in tact.

  54. ray on March 30th, 2009 11:49 am

    Nice Mc Dirty! 8)

  55. Jenn Mc on March 30th, 2009 11:51 am

Kinda reminds me of some of the DBs at East Andrews on Saturday….

  56. Dan on March 30th, 2009 11:53 am

McDirty- you’re really gonna call me out like that? I’m right here!

  57. Whitney on March 30th, 2009 11:56 am

Yes, if I recall, Clemson was #1 party school in the country several years ago. If Partying = Drinking and Drinking = People getting Laid, then Partying = People getting laid. Simple math rules apply to anything!

  58. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 12:43 pm

Hey guys, my friend Kate (that some of you met on Saturday) is having a fundraiser at 5 Paces at 6pm on Saturday. A $10 donation gets you keg beer and pizza till it runs out. One of her door prizes is actually a month membership at CFPT, so hopefully some folks can come out and support CFPT before the social on Saturday!!!

She’s raising money for a project with Solar Light of Africa, let me know if you want more info on it, but it’ll be a really fun event and $10 for some grub and beer before the social isn’t toooooo shabby!

  59. Reagan on March 30th, 2009 12:45 pm

SO for the WOD tonight… I think somehow I have always managed to miss this one…

Would I be better off to do max reps on the blue band (probably like 15 without stopping) or max reps kipping which is probably umm 2.

Either way I will be running a lot ha.

  60. bridget on March 30th, 2009 1:12 pm

Reags – start out kipping :D

  61. Jenn Mc on March 30th, 2009 1:43 pm

Jenny V… I think it’s sweet that your friend is helping out AK’s mother land.

Dan – you were about 1 of the 4 guys that were not DBs on saturday night :)

  62. Joey on March 30th, 2009 1:44 pm

Ryan, lets have a bench press competition. Rumor has it there was a new guy doing curls in the back after the WOD on Friday. I’m sure he would be down too.

  63. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 1:53 pm

    Dunzo

  64. Sarah N on March 30th, 2009 1:54 pm

Holy needed to catch up on the blog…

    couple of things…

    1. Joey, in the SOB pic I was definitely using the opposite arm to hold up the beer. Not faking it, you can just go off in a corner and Tupac and finish your workout 10 seconds early. I will give you a couple muscle relaxers to fix those granny knees of yours.

    2. Megan we will miss you!

    3. Going through detox right now. My body hates me.

    4. BOX.com

  65. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 1:55 pm

AK, I really think you should skip the draft beer and pizza thing until we know what Saturday’s workout will be…Make a donation, but you running a sub minute 400 on Saturday AM isn’t worth the repurcussions of that diet.

Solar Light of Africa..is that a project to bring sunlight to Africa, because I thought they already had that??

  66. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 1:58 pm

Joey, I am in for the bench competition, but I get an extra 10 lbs added to my max for every year I am over 40, plus another 10 for the replacement hip.

  67. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 2:04 pm

McDirty, what happened at East Andrews??Did one of the DB’s make a comment about your tattoo?? Not the Shamrock, I mean the “let go of my ears, I know what I am doing” written upside down on your shoulder??

  68. Jenn Mc on March 30th, 2009 2:38 pm

Damn it! I thought I kept that second tatoo from my friends at CFPT …. must have been the pearl necklace I wore on Saturday night.

  69. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 2:39 pm

Just for the record – if I said anything offensive to anyone at any point sat evening – I blacked out about 3 min after I walked in the door. My bads.

Joey informed me that 1/2 bottle of rum + 9 episodes of Eastbound & Down turns me into a dickhead.

  70. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 2:41 pm

Ryan, I don’t know how you drink all that and then come work out every day….

  71. Sarah N on March 30th, 2009 2:43 pm

Rynoviking, it’s cool. When I saw you I couldn’t really understand anything you were saying anyway, so if you said offensive things it came off as “ble blah ble blah”. And PS..sounds like you TOTALLY strayed from the Paleo this weekend. Hopefully you are back on the wagon today w/ your meals.

  72. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 3:00 pm

Thanks Sarah i feel much better – and since I spent all my time at lunch buying a computer and running errands for joey – I had a number 7 combo from Arbys – Paleo starts again 4/1/09

  73. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 3:03 pm

    4/1 Ryan? Why not tomorrow?

  74. Joey on March 30th, 2009 3:05 pm

East Bound and Down made me finally order HBO. That guy is my hero…it’s not every day that I find someone, fictional or real, that cusses more than I do.

  75. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 3:07 pm

Going out to dinner at Eclipse de Luna Tuesday – theres like 4 things on the menu that i have to order when I go there – not paleo. Ill start Wednresday F the world.

  76. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 3:13 pm

Does Brendan work with running-related issues?? I mean, I know the basics of running; it is the throwing up and visions of dead relatives while running the last mile of Murph that I would really like to address…

  77. Jenn Mc on March 30th, 2009 3:15 pm

Oh.. I don’t even want to HEAR about you and your last mile of Murph. I guess you must have thought you were hugging a dead relative when you sweat-hugged me… mid murph. I still have not fully recovered.

  78. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 3:20 pm

Mike, the fundraiser is Saturday night so I’m not sure how pizza and keg beer will affect a Saturday morning performance, but okay…

No, Solar Light for Africa is a group that helps install solar panels and teaches the folks over there how to use alternate power sources. It’s actually a pretty cool group and a great project. Plus, Kate’s hot and single – derrr.

  79. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 3:21 pm

Jesus, I take time out of my busy day to share a little Murph love with McDirty as she downs her 5th post workout beer, and this is the thanks I get.

  80. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 3:24 pm

How hot and how single plz?

  81. Jenn Mc on March 30th, 2009 3:30 pm

Ryan … i found a video of a hot and single crossfitter for you:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yTlVynqv6s&NR=1

  82. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 3:33 pm

Jenn, We will tell you when your friends are hot. Get her into CFPT asap.

  83. Reagan on March 30th, 2009 3:37 pm

People keep planning fun shit when I have to go out of town :(
I guess no one thinks I am fun or cares if I can come…
    CFPT social… Kate’s fundraiser…

I will be getting hammered (it’s a weddding… hammered is inevitable…) in Statesboro on Saturday night!

  84. Jess A on March 30th, 2009 3:39 pm

Reags – then what’s the problemo?? You’ll be getting hammered! FOR FREE!!!

  85. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 3:43 pm

Uhhhhh, sorry, but I believe I earned the right to call girls hot. I have a pretty good track record.

She can’t come to CFPT, she just had her knee chopped open in February and is scheduled to get the other one done in a few months. Joey, SHE can be excused from squats! :)

Ryan, VERY single and quite hot, I’d say. And she is a hula hooping champion… I mean, that has to get you fired up.

  86. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 3:44 pm

Reagan…the Boro…be very afraid!!! PLEASE go to Dingus Magees afterwards and tell Chambers Jenny Mashed Potatoes said hi!!

  87. Joey on March 30th, 2009 3:48 pm

Me and this chick need to do some knee rehab sounds like… I’ve got some great substitutions for hula’ing in mind.

  88. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 3:52 pm

Lay it down, Joey..Lusting after this girl sight unseen..Jenny, has she had any other surgeries that we need to know about?? Would she be up for dating someone old enough to be her, um, creepy uncle??

  89. Ryan on March 30th, 2009 3:58 pm

Well if she is into witty, athletic and sexually generous guys – I may have to buy a ticket and introduce myself!

  90. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 4:03 pm

    unce unce unce unce

  91. Jenny V on March 30th, 2009 4:15 pm

Joey, I appreciate the trust in my taste! I’ll let her know you’ve generously offered to rehab Kate and help her improve her hula hooping skills…Yall think I’m kidding, but alas, we took hula hoops to Orange Beach with us and Kate and her bum knee was able to start with it around her neck, drop it to the waist and keep it going…every guy in the bachelor party we were with was in awe… (PS – Sarah ain’t too shabby with the hoop either)

  92. Mike D., and I get respect on March 30th, 2009 4:43 pm

Looking at that picture above, it looks like Josh is doing the Russian Hat Dance, Liz is a soviet soldier marching into Moscow, and then Aquaman looks like a backup dancer who came her to jump around, jump around….Is this guy a running coach or a choreographer…

  93. Joey on March 30th, 2009 4:49 pm

I dont think Liz’s leg can be any more hyper extended without snapping in half. I think it’s the reverse of how far I can bend my leg the normal way.
